NAI Chesterfield can access and have direct relationships with servicers and lenders; most attorneys only deal with opposing legal counsel and never interact directly with a lender or servicer. This is a key benefit to a Borrower, putting the Borrower closer to the lender, where nothing is lost in translation. Since most of our compensation is success-based (with limited retainers), that means we must produce results in order to be compensated. The faster the result, the sooner NAI Chesterfield gets compensated. Others working on an hourly basis may prefer to drag out the process while NAI Chesterfield seeks ways to move the process quickly. Unlike other advisers, NAI Chesterfield uses the costly legal system as a negotiating tool to obtain better settlements for its clients.
