St. Clair Bistro expands to Farmington

St. Clair Winery & Bistro will open a new location in Farmington this month.

The new site is at 5150 E. Main St. and the grand opening is scheduled for Jan. 30 and 31. As with the two existing St. Clair restaurants in Albuquerque and Las Cruces, the new site will offer bistro-style dining for lunch and dinner, and more than 50 different New Mexico wines.

Deming-based St. Clair, the state’s largest winery, won 10 awards earlier this month at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. It sells wine under four different labels: Blue Teal, St. Clair Winery, San Felipe and DH Lescombes.

Among the awards, the DH-Lescombes 2007 Cabernet Franc won a Judges’ Choice award and the DH-Lescombes 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon won a Double Gold award, which reflects a unanimous decision among the judges.

Rick Sharp, manager of the St. Clair operations, said the Four Corners area is growing, just like the New Mexico wine industry.

“As we open more locations and our wines win more awards, it’s gratifying to be able to share our products with people across the entire state and beyond,” he said.
